The Role of Anesthesia and the Anesthetist in Reducing the Length of Stay After Primary Total Hip Arthroplasty

There has been very little work on the influence of anesthetic technique and the anesthetist concerned on the postoperative length of hospital stay after primary total hip arthroplasty (THA). We wished to study these 2 factors, as well as the effect of age and body mass index (BMI), on the length of hospital stay.
