The MRL Stem: A Decade of Follow-Up of 100 Primary Implants
Ravaglia L, Zucchi M.Hip
The Authors report the results with the MRL prosthesis in 100 hips, reviewed on the basis of specific chronological parameters, with a mean follow-up of 11 years and 6 months, range 10–14 years. Results were excellent or good in 97%.
A valgus cervicodiaphyseal angle of the stem constitutes a relative contraindication in some cases of coxa vara. We recommend widening the range to include stems with greater lateralizing effect and a physiological cervicodiaphyseal angle.
