The purpose of this study was to evaluate the midterm survival results and report on the failures of a second-generation total condylar prosthesis (PFC Sigma). Compared with its predecessor (PFC), geometric changes in the femoral component and new sterilization and packaging methods were incorporated into the Sigma system.
