Authors/editors Bono and Scott state in the preface of this book that their goal was to provide a “how-to” text for the diagnosis and management of the failed total knee arthroplasty. In determining whether the authors and editors of a book have achieved their stated goal, it is important to consider the reputations of those authors and editors. Indeed, as Roderick Turner points out in the second foreword, an important consideration is the high regard that Dr. Scott’s peers have for his judgment and technical ability.
