MR imaging with optimized conventional and advanced pulse sequences affords comprehensive imaging evaluation following knee arthroplasty for detailed evaluation of periprosthetic host bone, implant-tissue interfaces, polyethylene components, and soft tissues (including synovium, tendons, ligaments, and neurovascular structures), thereby facilitating diagnosis and presurgical characterization of arthroplasty-related complications and contributing important information for diagnosis, prognosis, risk stratification, and surgical planning.
