Minimally invasive unicompartmental knee arthroplasty
Argenson, Jean-Noël A; Flecher, XavierKnee
The most recent evolution in unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is the possibility to perform the arthroplasty using a minimal invasive surgery (MIS) technique. The goal of such technique is to increase the postoperative recovery, to reduce the hospital stay and to accelerate the return to normal activities with appropriate knee function. However, the indications of the procedure should be respected since UKA is governed by specific rules to remain a successful arthroplasty.
