Metal Hypersensitivity: Can It Mimic Infection?

If not suspected, it can be a harrowing experience for the patient because it can lead to a seemingly never-ending cycle of tests and procedures. This case highlights the fact that although metal hypersensitivity is rare, it should be included in the differential once infection has been excluded.
