Femoral Component Failure in Hybrid Total Knee Arthroplasty at 17 Years
Gavan P. Duffy; Elise B. Murray; Vicki S. Baker; Robert T. TrousdaleKnee
Hybrid total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was introduced in the 1980s in hopes of gaining the theoretical advantages of osseous ingrowth of the femoral component, while avoiding problematic tibial fixation seen in cementless systems. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the long-term results in a consecutive group of patients who underwent hybrid TKA.
