Robert H. Hopper Jr; John M. Iskander; Anthony M. Young; C.Anderson Engh JrHip
Understanding the factors that contribute to polyethylene wear after total hip arthroplasty can help optimize implant selection and post-operative management. Between 1990 and 1999, the Duraloc (DePuy) cup was used for the vast majority of primary total hip arthroplasties performed at our institution. This study sought to evaluate the effect of implant and patient characteristics on polyethylene wear rates.
