The relationship between surgical volume and patient outcomes has been evaluated using large databases comparing numerous surgeons and hospitals based on relative surgical volume. In contrast, this study determined the affect of increased surgical volume on the incidence of knee complications within a single surgeon’s primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) practice.
