Diagnosis of knee periprosthetic joint infection

The first step in the management of prosthetic joint infection (PJI) is clinical suspicion and making an accurate and timely diagnosis. Despite significant progress in the development of diagnostic techniques for PJI, no single gold standard test has yet been identified.
