Cementless bipolar hemiarthroplasty for displaced femoral neck fractures in elderly patients

Controversy exists regarding the use of cementless femoral fixation in elderly patients. Many have restricted this type of fixation to physiologically young patients. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of cementless bipolar hemiarthroplasty with a proximally coated stem in patients older than 65 years of age.
