Why Do Revision Total Knee Arthroplasties Fail?

The demand for revision knee arthroplasty is expected to double by the year 2015. There is limited information available on the outcomes of revision knee arthroplasty to help surgeons prepare for this increased burden. The purpose of this study was to analyze the mechanisms of failure of revision knee arthroplasty and to identify risk factors associated with failure.
