Most computer navigation systems used in total hip arthroplasty integrate preoperative pelvic tilt to calculate the anterior pelvic plane. However, the consistency of this value after total hip arthroplasty (THA) has never been proven. We asked if substantial preoperative to postoperative variation in dynamic pelvic tilt could cause component position errors with hip navigation. This prospective study compared preoperative and postoperative dynamic pelvic tilt after THA using modern comprehensive gait analysis.
