The CLS Uncemented Expansion Cup: Six Cases of Component Failure

We report six cases of fracture of the metal backing of the CLS expansion cup. The aim of this paper is to draw attention to this mode of failure and recommend that in cases of unexplained hip pain in those with a CLS acetabular component X-rays in at least two planes are performed.
