Patient Expectations at Initial Presentation for Arthroplasty: The Role of Sex and Ethnicity

Patient expectations have an important role on the outcome and use of joint arthroplasty. Our objective was to assess and compare preoperative patient perceptions and surgical knowledge among ethnic and sex groups in patients receiving initial prearthroplasty consultation.
