Treatment of osteolysis with wear of the polyethylene in well-fixed modular acetabular components by liner exchange and bone grafting is not infrequently performed in revision THA. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of liner exchange and bone grafting for cases of extensive osteolysis around total knee replacements where the components were well-fixed and well-aligned.
