Hip Resurfacing in Women: Cause for Concern? Clinical Results from an Independent Center

Patient selection has been critical to the excellent medium-term clinical results after contemporary hip resurfacing. Female patient numbers are usually low. Hypersensivity to metal ion debris is an emerging problem. There are few studies that include large numbers of women and show separate outcome and survivorship to men.
