The operative treatment of large, progressive periacetabular lytic lesions is frequently debridement and bone grafting of the lesions with modular exchange of the liner and head. Previous studies have demonstrated regression of lesions by plain radiography after liner exchange with grafting. Computed tomography has been shown to be more sensitive in analyzing the size and location of these defects. The purpose of this study is to determine the fate of osteolytic lesions in the pelvis after treatment with liner exchange and bone grafting, as determined by computed tomography.
