Presentation of CaseA 74-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of a failed right-hip replacement, with pain in the hip and an osteolytic lesion in the right acetabulum.There was a long history of degenerative joint disease of the right hip. Nine years before entry a right surface hip replacement was performed elsewhere. Thereafter the patient was improved and worked actively as a farmer. Six months before admission, pain in the right hip recurred and radiated to the right groin and to the lateral portion of the right lower extremity as far as the ankle.
